FAQ
How VAT works with our fee?
- If you’re located outside the European Union (e.g., US, Canada, Australia), no VAT is charged on our service fee.
If you’re a business registered in any EU country besides Estonia, with a valid EU VAT number, no VAT is added by us. Instead, you account for VAT locally under the reverse charge mechanism.
- If you’re a private individual in the EU (including Estonia), we add 22% VAT to our service fee, based on Estonia’s standard rate.
- If you’re a business registered in the EU without a valid VAT number, we charge 22% VAT on the fee.
- If you’re a business or individual in Estonia without a VAT number, the local 22% VAT applies.
For a ticket priced at 20€, our service fee is 3%, or 0.60€ per ticket.
- No VAT case: Total fee remains 0.60€.
- 22% VAT case: We add 22% to the fee (0.60€ × 0.22 = 0.132€), making the total fee 0.73€.
What is the difference between adding the booking fee on top of a ticket and including it in the price?
If you add the booking fee on top of the ticket price, it will be visible to the ticket buyer as two separate amounts ticket price + booking fee. If you include the booking fee in the price, it will be visible to the ticket buyer as one total amount. As the event organiser, you receive the ticket price minus the booking fee.
